021009 - Hubby sms me and said "Haziq is eating Roti canai with dal gravy!" while having breakfast at Ali Restaurant. A major milestone for him. His younger brother inspired him to eat that way. Thanks to Hakeem!

Rustic Chandeliar

We bought the rustic chandelier at Seng Hup a week before Eid Fitr after close to 3-4 months hunting. Hubby said its 8 months but thats not practically correct as thats the total duration we look for lights for the whole house. We we started looking.. chandeliar wasnt part of the hunt as its easily hundreds of ringgit.

Anyway... i love it. No matter how many shops we went, i kept comparing to this specific one. Its rustic and classic which fits our home concept which is classic with a country touch. So one can imagine a dark furniture and cozy.

Some parts of the home.. its a combination of european classic but with a country touch. We just love it!

Do'a

He sat at the dining table wanting to eat. By the time the food arrive, he placed his hand close to his chest and says Doa. I'm so surprised. Must be the practice that we do recently where the big brother will recite gratefulness to God who provide us with food and saves us from the fire of hell.

Devastated

My heart shattered everytime i wash my hand or do my chores at my designer sink :(
Someone scrubbed my sink thinking doing me a favor but instead leaving scars all over..

The Protector

I was sleeping... suddenly i heard Hakeem says "Ibu tidur lah" to his daddy as he watched him waking me up :)
So gorgeous & protective of the mother :)

Wudhuk

It was a very meaningful moment yesterday as we went for Terawikh the whole family at Masjid negeri Shah Alam. I think this is Hakeem's 1st time. He's lil' bit active but does allow mommy to pray 8 rakaa't. Alhamdulillah.

What amazed me Haziq knows how to take Wudhuk. No doubt he looked at me once a while but the fact that he literally did 3 times for each part(face, hand, ear etc) proves he understand what he's doing.

I feel grateful and glad that i've sent him to Salsabilla. Solid foundation is very important. We'll give our best education and let them sail with it.

Two

K suddenly says he wants 2! Its a surprise coz we didnt think he knows literally what it means. Little that we realized he understood it well as i always gave two vitamin C and counted them while giving it to him.

No McD Delivery yet..

Our dear cousin Maz came with her family over to our place for tea. We enjoyed having them as much their kids enjoyed bathing at our home :) Coincidently, it was Mak Ucu's bday so we celebrated her birthday but without cake due to the poorly planned contractor who closed the roundabout that caused massive jams. Luckily, Big Apple saves the day. As the host, we served my signatory Mee Bandung & vegetable popia. Turn out to be Azhar didnt take mee. So, Maz decided to call McD delivery during dinner.

To our dissappoinment, our new area is not covered. It was just 5 mins drive... but they still dont sent... So Maz and family went home early :(

Oh well... thats the change adjustment we gotta go through...but we still love our not so occupied neighbourhood :)

I am Sorry

020809 - Hakeem says 'Sorry' gently to the big brother when he accidently knock him. We overheard as we are in the car. It was so sweet until he said repetitively as we compliment him, then it gets annoying.

Cozy Couch for Mommy's Lanai

Just ordered this cozy couch (July 25) to be placed at my lanai area. But not surprised it will be in the family hall area or guest lanai area as we are still short of sofas 

I’ve asked for mocha color & selected the design to fit my classic theme. Vonza will take 16 days to prepare the fabric color that I want. Love it. Just look at the kids lazying around when mommy & daddy busy negotiating with Azwan the sales agent.

So happy when we bought this for them. Gave us some space & the best part they enjoyed it so much. HaziQ cycle fast while Hakeem is a natural cycler at 2 1/2 years old :)

Water Rafting

Its finally out of my to do list. Been wanting to do white water rafting since during college days especially in U.S. It turn out to be a fantastic experience. Not to the level of adrenaline rush i must say. Perhaps the water rapid was level II-III and the water level was medium-low when we did it at Gopeng, Perak.
The British buddies enjoyed as well. We were split into 2 raft, so everyone has to paddle :) They even got the chance to eat the King fruit and they claimed it wasnt as bad as they thought :)

060509 - Thank you so much garbage collector! You've made our day. Now we really appreciate them. Eventhough you are the Alam Flora contractor but it saves us from the hassle to throw the rubbish at our neighbour area.

April 11 was a moment that we've been waiting for. We moved to our dream home :)

Dream vacation - Club Med Phuket

I dont know how to start. All i know it was a wonderful holiday that i can consider it as a dream vacation. Its a complete holiday vacation and full of activities. Its just up to us whether to participate in the events. The G.O. (Gentle Organizer) team will makes us feel belonging. They'll remember our names esp G.O. Moussa. G.O. Andre makes us laugh. G.O. Sub makes us feel at home. They have pool game, water aerobic, aqua aerobic(sea), snorkling, table tennis, archery, golf.. live band & show at night.

I just love it. We 'sun' bath (under the shades) and relax all the way. Appreciating the mother nature, the water that makes 2/3 of the world.. i just love everything abt it. We had our 1st archery & golf try. Its even inclusive lessons which is totally free!

When we 1st arrived at club med, the G.O. Freddie asked us whether this is our 1st time to Club Med. We were quite surprised as we were expecting whether this is our 1st trip to Phuket. It was much later why we understand and appreciate the G.O. team asked that way. So that we'll get to know our way around club med as they just have tonnes of happening events :)

2 Weeks Past

It's been two weeks Haziq went to Salsabiilla. I have to admit that he's fully adjusted to the pre-school and look forward going there. The 7th day to Salsabilla was the day he didn't come up with any remark just before getting in the car or getting out of the car once at school. Among his remark were 'Hakeem kecil lagi (wanting his younger bro to join him', 'Lama la kat sekolah ni', 'Tak best la school (the contrary statement when we pick him fr Salsabiilla in the afternoon'.. etc.

It's a smooth sail now. I need not have to psychology him everyday how wonderful school is, i dont need to count with him how many more days to weekend and the best part is i can concentrate at work! (believe it or not). Some of my frens were shock when i share my experience.. cause they just don't believe that's me. They thought i'm stronger than that. I said.. u'll know once you have kids :)

One of the lesson learned is we didn't prepare Hakeem the younger brother that his bro will be going to school. So, it was difficult when he starts crying wanting to play at Salsabilla. Hakeem easily adapt to surrounding and socializing. So, when Haziq still making faces not wanting to stay, Hakeem already grabbing toys to play. He gets upset when we took him & left the bro crying at Salsabilla. So.. we end up comforting Hakeem & by the time i turn around after wearing my shoes Haziq already settled down. It was just a minute crying. Hakeem was upset for a week. He cried everytime he woke up from afternoon sleep. He normally don't. Luckily its all good now.

Charming Prince to Pre-School

This was the final moment shortly before i said 'Haziq masuk school, ibu & ayah tunggu luar Salsabilla'. Thats where the refusal scene starts. He was excited & looking forward to it but the separation anxiety with ibu & ayah kills them all!

I have registered him in early November 2008. Checked out the school, talked to the headmistress & met the teachers. Pretty confident of the teachers(muka sejuk & approachable) & module(in english.. too early to comment), pleased with the cleanliness, safety assured with the security (always close gate & main door), good remarks from SIL/Bro and most importantly close to home.

A day before the history starts, we went to MPH subang parade and bought him pencil case, pensil, eraser and sharpener. Bought 2 sets of course, one for Haziq & one for Hakeem(to be fair). We did this after my SIL(a teacher) shares the tip to build the excitement for a 1st timer pre-school toddler. She said its important as the idea of a school will be alien for them and separation hurts them initially. So that's what we did.

When he refused to enter Salsabiilla, we decided to talk to him outside. Wasn't sure whether we can come in. The teachers were all ladies & religous since this is an islamic pre-school & day care. But since we saw other mommy enter, we think best if we enter & get him connected to friends, teachers and surrounding. After 15 mins persuasion, the headmistress Pn Rahimah says 'This is normal for 1st timer. What we will do is we give him something to do. If they refuse to cooperate even after a while, we will give them some cooling off period. Then when they are hungry or tired, they will try to get connected to the teachers'. So indirectly it was a hint for me to leave :)

Pn Rahimah showed Haziq a block game & brought him upstairs. So i left halft heartedly. I really want him to be in school & enjoy it as he's a lil' bit clingy to me but i can't stand hearing him crying when he was taken from me. Waited outside with Hubby. Within 5 mins the teacher came outside calling us. My heart started pounding. A lot of things flashed on my mind. Haziq pee.. haziq still crying.. surprisingly he's ok. So.. we left for our regular breakfast spot in Kelana Jaya.

It was a long day for me. So.. i bet haziq was thinking of me as well. I did went shopping with Hakeem but my mind did linger what is haziq doing at this hour :)

We picked haziq up with his fav cousin, Khaliesah. Hakeem was asleep. The moment Haziq heard his name being called, i can see his happy face as he peeked out of the Pondok & slide down and run towards me. The teacher called him to grab his bag. 1001 gush of feeling can be seen at his face.. he just want to run to me and get out of there!

He enjoyed himself basically. He said good things abt school and continue to bring his bag here and there. Except when he's sleeping.

I am so proud of him. I bet his dad feels the same way. So does everyone :)
